New experimental video with sounds, The Bridge.

English
In this video, I document eating a Nashi pear in real time. My focus here is on how the quiet sounds of preparation, removing the peel with a knife, putting down the fork, my chewing noises, smacking my lips and clearing my throat all indicate a flavour that cannot be directly perceived. When I ate such a pear for the first time many years ago, I was surprised. It tasted like ‚nothing‘. But when I tried it again and took my time, I realised that the pear does indeed have a taste. But it is very subtle. We are no longer used to tasting such a “quiet” flavour. Today, everything tastes very intense. The minimalist sounds correspond to this subtle taste.
German
Heute schmeckt alles sehr intensiv. Diesem feinen Geschmack entsprechen die minimalistischen Geräusche.

A simple composition, written with Logic Pro X. It's just three chords, from which I then developed bass and melody lines. You would probably have to play the piece in pairs on the piano. At the end, a harp plays a melody line again. The score is automatically produced by Logic. I don't know why the bass clefs are missing...

Commented List about aleatoric music with the Ipad
Today I found time to create an overview of the possibilities of generating aleatoric music with the Ipad. Here is the manuscript in English and German. [Link]

Aleatoric music experiment with the app Xynthesizr from Yuri Turov. The Xynthesizr app for iPhone generates random signals via MIDI to the Roland s1. Roland s1 is connected via sync cable to the t8. The t8 also creates random rhythms. Only the parameters have been changed manually (and some few notes which have been the basis for the random generator of Xynthesizr). [mp3]

About my sound sketches
For many years, I have been dealing with feelings and the question of how to represent them.
I have realised that language can only describe feelings very roughly. We say that we feel good or bad, but the nuances are missing. Arts such as painting, drawing and above all music are much more suitable for this. Especially in music, there is no difference between the piece and the feeling. Music is the feeling and all music immediately puts us in a specific mood.
Music is autonomous. The sounds do not refer to anything external, they are self-sufficient to a certain extent. My Kachimizu project (Japanese for 火 ka-fire, 池 chi-earth, 水 mizu-water) and my sound experiments are therefore more about exploring emotional differences than finding beautiful melodies and rhythms. I would also describe it more as a sound sketch than as music in the usual sense. For me, noises, disturbances, discords and cacophonies are also part of it and enable us to explore the whole spectrum of feeling auditorily.
For me, mistakes are also part of the process. That's why I correct very little and smooth the material very carefully when I do. The world of sound and the world of language comment on and interpenetrate each other and I like to superimpose them.
